Building quick Backlinks via a blog

I utlize a blog with almost every site I make. The blog allows me to quickly build backlinks to my sites and allows me to utilize RSS feeds form the blog back to the site for Fresh content. All I have to do it blog a few times a week a few post and eveything is taken care of.

1) Use Fantastico in your C-panel to set up a word press Blog
2) Grab the Updated Ping List in the Websitemonthly Forum.
3) Update your Ping List under the word press "Options" "writing" update services.
4) Post to your blog.
5) Include a Back link or two in every post using your major Keywords.
6) Go to http://www.feeddigest.com/ and register the RSS Feed from your blog. Get the HTML Code and Place at the bottom of your Index page of your main site. This way you are continously updating your site with content.

Overview of Benefits of this method:
Get fresh content to your site just by bloging occasionaly
Get back links when you post in your blog via the Keyword Text Link you insert and the Ping lists.

Total time to set this up: 10-20 minutes.

External Sources we Use

  • Eds Using

I like to keep the tools I use pretty simple - but I've been doing this for a long time and some of you may not have the more expensive tools.

Eds favorites - I don't ever recommend many other products - so I do use and find those helpful. I 'make' most of my graphics with xara products - and even many web templates.

For the more 'commercial' end - I recommend Gimp or Photoshop and DEFINETLY dreamweaver for your web editor. If you need to wait before you can afford dreamweaver check out NVU - it's free and does enough to get you going.
